Larger airports close are “Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport” and “Rome Ciampino G.B. Pastine Airport”. Both airports are connected to the main Rome train station (Rome Termini) by train, taxi or bus. From Rome the best way to reach Assisi is by train, almost every hour there is a train from Rome to Assisi and the travel time is about 2 hours.

The closest airport is “Umbria Airport S. Francesco d'Assisi“, in Perugia, but it has not many international flights. From Perugia to Assisi the train is the best option, every half an hour there is a train to Assisi and the travel last 20 minutes.
